Infomobility

Rearchers of WiLAB are involved in frontier research activities for infomobility.
Starting from experiences made by the Director, Prof. Andrisano, within several European projects (e.g., Advanced Telematics for Road transport; Telecommunication: vehicle to vehicle communication, vehicle-to-roadside communication, cooperative driving; PROMETHEUS-PROCOM; DRIVE DACAR; DRIVE-PARIS), we are now involved in investigating technological solutions for intelligent transportation systems.

Heterogeneous wireless communications networks (involving short- and long-range communications) are enabling technologies for advanced infomobility services as well as for increasing safety on the road.
